Hebei Clapper Opera is an important branch of Chinese Clapper. It used to be called "Beijing Clapper Opera", "Zhili Clapper Opera" and "Wei Clapper Opera". In 1952, it was officially named "Hebei Clapper Opera", formed by the combination of Shanshan Clapper Opera and Hebei folk music. Its tone reveals a euphemistic and poignant style in the high and fierce, and is good at expressing generous and tragic emotions. There are about 150 Qupai pieces of Hebei Clapper Opera, most of which are used to exaggerate the atmosphere and accompany the dancing or movements of characters, except for singing in some plays.
