Jiang Yang's pipa performance "Six Horses of Zhaoling" comes from the album "Music: Pipa - Jiang Yang".
The music has a novel musical language, rich layers and unique ideas; it depicts a majestic, vigorous, handsome, galloping battle scene of a war horse. This piece can be called a classic in the pipa literature. Zhaoling is the joint tomb of Emperor Taizong Li Shimin and Empress Wende, located in Liquan County, Shaanxi Province. There are corridors on both sides of the sacrificial hall next to the tomb, and the stone carvings of "Six Horses of Zhaoling" are listed among them. The Six Horses refer to the six steeds that Emperor Taizong of Tang rode and fought in the unification of China. When Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty built the Zhaoling Tomb, he ordered the establishment of the six steeds of Zhaoling, not only to show off his life's military exploits, but also to commemorate these war horses who once depended on each other, and to tell future generations how difficult it was to start a business.
