About the origin of the Lusu Sheng, there are different legends, some say that it and another traditional Lisu musical instrument, "Rongbi" was born together in the resistance against foreign invaders and brought victory, while others say that it came from an old man who lost his five beloved children in the war, and the old man missed his beloved children and used it to play a melody calling for unity. No matter what kind of legend, it expresses the same kind of ceaseless and passionate life force, which is filled with the melody of the small Lusheng of Lisu nationality, full of affirmation of life.
