Mercedes-Benz in a Thousand Miles of Grassland is an erhu unison composed by erhu performers Li Xiuqi and Wang Guotong in 1972, and it is also one of the few well-known erhu unisons. The music describes the scene of the herdsmen galloping on the grassland and their yearning for a happy life in the future. At the time of composition, this piece was set to play in unison with more than five erhus. With the cooperation of more erhus, it can better express the feeling of thousands of horses galloping on the grassland.
