The piece is composed of two folk pieces. Among them, Spring in Ordos is said to have originally been a short-key folk song that spread in the Ordos area. The three strings of slow singing, and the long and undulating four Hu, imitating the sound of the horse head qin, jointly deduce the clear and simple melody, depicting the rich and beautiful scene when spring returns to the earth, the Ordos grassland is in full bloom and the cattle and sheep run together. The tune of "Milking Girl" was also taken from the Erdos folk song, and is now often used as the soundtrack for the folk dance "Milking Dance". The galloping music, like a group of dancers dressed in bright national costumes, vividly and casually shows the process of Mongolian women milking and brewing dairy products, and also praises the vigorous labor passion of grassland herdsmen.
