Peking Opera verse "Farewell My Concubine Guzheng and Peking Opera" from the album "Chinese Music Map to hear Beijing Guzheng and Beijing Opera Shang Jingya"

Farewell to My Concubine. Zheng and Peking Opera. Farewell to my concubine. Zheng and Peking Opera

Composer: Shang Jingya Opera verse Nationality: Han Nationality: Beijing

Guzheng: Shang Jingya

Singing: Zheng Xiao

Under the encouragement of Peking Opera artist Mei Baojiu, composer and performer Shang Jingya began to compose the Peking Opera Guzheng Opera "Farewell My Concubine" in 2012, which premiered at the National Center for the Performing Arts in 2016. The work draws on the elements of "Southern Clappers", "Chu Song", "Ambush on All Sides" and "Deep Night (Sword dance)" in the Peking Opera "Farewell My Concubine", and blends the traditional Mei School classic singing style with the guzheng tone for the first time, expressing respect for the tradition and respecting and inheriting the innovative spirit of the predecessors. At first, the guzheng was a little violent, but gradually calmed down after several collisions. A touch of elegant and beautiful singing is this cold guzheng lining sad from it, and suddenly, a few harsh guzheng, a few make heaven and earth change color, and gently said the white, broken the moon, broken the heart. In the surging Guzheng, Yu Ji listened to the embattled songs, emotional ups and downs, in the gentle guzheng, singing the final farewell.
