Pai drum is a new type of drum instrument that appeared in China in the 1960s. It was originally reformed by CAI Huiquan and Yang Jingming of the China National Broadcasting Orchestra according to the medium-sized tang drum and waist drum commonly used by the folk, and has been continuously improved since then. It consists of five drums of different sizes that have different sounds. The sound of the drum is fierce and leaping, the high voice is firm and powerful, and the middle and low voice are broad and bright, especially good at showing warm and jubilant emotions.
The drums sounded three or two, bright and high, like three or two drops of rain suddenly crackling down, and then, in the gradually accelerating melody, the wind gradually rose, the rain became dense, and soon it was a storm. High and low drums, cut clamor, more and more dense and loud, drums weave into a dense net, trance, eyes, smoke and rain fog, the world hazy, Hao Hao he, someone with an umbrella through the wind and rain hurried away, some people tread water in the wind and rain singing.
