Zhang Qiang's pipa performance is from the folk music album Little Sisters in the Grassland.
Under the enlightenment of his father, Zhang Qiang also learned from famous artists such as Wu Junsheng, Kwong Yuzhong, Li Guanghua and Liu Dehai. He has a profound knowledge and learned from others. He won many awards and won the first place in the Pipa division of the International Chinese Musical Instrument Competition held in Taiwan in 1993. For this album, he meticulously recorded "Little Sisters on the Grassland", "Jackdaw playing in the Water", tone poem "Spring River and Moon Night", "New Feathering and Green Waist" and other famous pieces, which were performed by the symphony orchestra of the China Central Orchestra.
