These bells were unearthed in tomb M3011 in the late Spring and Autumn Period of Taosi North Cemetery in Xiangfen County, Shanxi Province, dating back about 2,500 years. Here, 3 Yong bells and 3 Mushroom bells are selected, and each bell can play two tones. The performer is Professor Wang Qinglei from the China National Academy of Arts, who also measured the sound of the bell.

Involving musical instruments

The bo (pinyin: bó) is a musical instrument with a shape close to that of a bell. The body of the mushroom is larger than that of the bell, and the cross-section of the body is oval . In the early days, there were many bird-shaped, tiger-shaped, or Kui-shaped "wings" on both sides of the mushroom, and the decoration was gorgeous and complicated. It is a large single percussion instrument of the ancient Han nationality.
The chime (pinyin: Zhōng) is a traditional Chinese percussion instrument that began in the Bronze Age. The bells are cast in bronze, and different bells are arranged according to size and hang on a huge bell stand. Chimes are often used in combination with chimes; the "gold" in "Sound of Gold and Stone" refers to chimes, and "stone" refers to chimes.
