Lu Guang, the general of Fu Jian of the former Qin Dynasty, attacked Qiuci and captured Kumarajiva, the translator of scriptures. A camel team of about 20,000 cavalrymen, carrying jewelry and beauty, followed his army to Liangzhou. It was the first introduction of Qiuci music. Kumarajiva translated the scriptures into wonderful Chinese, and Qiuci music and dance accompanied by Western instruments such as pipa and Konghou gradually became popular in China. Cave 272 of Mogao Grottoes is one of the "Three Beiliang Grottoes". On the four sides of the zenith in the cave, there is a painting of the first Tiangong pipa music play in the history of Dunhuang.
The composer, Mr. Wang Jianmin, was inspired by the twelfth cave of Yungang in the Northern Wei Dynasty. The pipa and the harp are intertwined to perform the Tiangong music and dance.
