Performed by: Tang Junqiao. Composer: Guo Wenjing. Concerto: Shanghai Symphony Orchestra
It is a bamboo flute concerto composed by composer Professor Guo Wenjing in 1992, and its title comes from Li Bai's long poem "The Difficult Road to Shu". The music is divided into three movements, respectively using the Qu flute, the clapper flute and the bass flute for performance. The first movement of the poem "sad bird number ancient wood, Zi GUI cry night moon" for the meaning, using the cyclic ventilation technique blown out of the ultra-long sound, showing the desolate, dim, endless mountains, is the most unique feature of the movement. The second movement, with the color of southwest China's mountains, is the dance of the elves in the mountains. This movement uses the cyclic breathing technique of bamboo flute and double spitting, full of vitality and fast rhythm, just like a forest of mountains, glowing with colorful colors and vitality under the sun. The third movement depicts the image of "Jian Pavilion Zheng Zhang and Cui Wei, one husband is at the pass, Wan Fu Mo open", "avoiding tigers, avoiding long snakes, grinding teeth sucking blood, killing like a horse", strong and heavy tone, sonorous and powerful rhythm, pure and touching tone of the big flute, rendering the tragic atmosphere shown in the movement.
