The music is based on the folk music of Northeast China, and adopts folk techniques such as tooth trill and tongue licking. The work is composed of introduction, adagio, cadenza and allegro, which is A typical A-B-C parallel single three-piece structure with simple melody and strong local characteristics. The adagio part is based on the folk tunes of the Northeast Yangge, which shows the rich black land culture. The melody personifies the suona and imitates the song of a thrush in different kinds and states. The work was premiered by Wang Qingzhong at the National Center for the Performing Arts and received unanimous recognition and praise from industry experts. The work expresses the humanistic feelings of harmonious coexistence between man and nature under the background of harmonious society, and is known as the sister piece of "Hundred Birds Worship the Phoenix".
