Zhao Mojia's guzheng performance "Wu" comes from the album "Zheng Pin".
Wu: Chen Yufei Wu is a national Chamber music composed for four plucked musical instruments. The inspiration for the work comes from the ancient poem "Jiangnan has nothing, chatting and giving a branch of spring", and it is also taken from Wu in the soft language of Wu Nong, so the pinyin Wu is used as the title of the song. The work takes Suzhou Pingtan and Pentatonic scale as the main musical elements, and gives play to the unique timbre and charm of the four plucked musical instruments, with the intention of creating a Jiangnan atmosphere that composers have seen, heard and felt through the integration of traditional cultural elements and contemporary musical vocabulary. This work was commissioned by Zhao Mojia to young composer Chen Yufei and completed in 2018.
